WVIA, an affiliate of PPTN/PBS operates its broadcast station with a MicroFirst DAS Automation system. WVIA runs unattended each night from approximately 2am until 7am. PBS and PPTN program materials are recorded automatically into a MediaStream 1600 server and then mirrored in a MediaStream 700 server for broadcast. WVIA runs a “hot-standby” configuration to provide redundant processing protection.
