ESI - Edge Server Interface - The DAS EdgeServerInterface (ESI) is responsible for communicating to Edge Servers and other external systems that can provide the DAS with updates to its video clip metadata.  It communicates directly to Edge Servers such as PathFire, and also content transcoding systems that are fed by Edge Servers such as FlipFactory.
