Pennsylvania Public Television
PPTN receives and records programs from the Public Broadcast Service and other national distributors, maintains a videotape library, and transmits delayed broadcasts to Pennsylvania stations. This service gives stations the flexibility to customize their programming schedules to their particular audience needs and also generates savings to the stations by freeing recording and storage resources including personnel, equipment, and tape stock. PPTN's hub-and-spoke network offers an effective means for stations to share locally produced Pennsylvania programming statewide. And in order for four out of the eight PPTN affiliates to accomplish their broadcasting goals, they rely on MicroFirst Technology.
